Keeping Ask Sarai safe

Ask Sarai is the AI assistant in the Sarai app, made by SHEP MEDIA LTD (company number 17199108). It can search the web to answer questions about things that change, like opening times or news, and shows the pages it used.

How we protect you

• Every message is checked before Sarai answers. Requests for harmful, illegal, hateful or sexual content are turned down.
• If a message suggests someone may be at risk, Sarai responds with care and points them to Samaritans (call 116 123, free, any time), SHOUT (text 85258) or 999.
• Sarai’s answers are short summaries in its own words, with a few links, not open lists of search results.
• Sarai is designed for adults aged 18 and over.
• Nothing you write in Ask Sarai is shown to other people.

If something goes wrong

• Tap Report under any reply. We review every report and aim to act within 7 days.
• To complain, including about how we handled a report, email darryn.shepherd@shepmedialtd.net. We aim to reply within 7 days.
